R U MY
Rumy matches you with housemates on how you connect: when you sleep, how tidy you are, how you feel about guests and noise. You can see why you matched and who's phone verified, and you get to know the people before the room.
Uber made strangers' cars normal.
Airbnb made strangers' homes normal for a night.
Rumy does it for the place you actually live.
Most sites show you the room and leave you to guess about the people. Rumy starts with the people.

Phone verification is live
You tell Rumy when you sleep, how tidy you keep things, how often you have people over and how much noise you're fine with. Rumy compares that with each housemate and shows you where you line up and where you don't.
Matched on how you connect
This one isn't switched on yet. Once you've lived with someone, you'll both rate how it went, and those ratings will help make the next matches better.
Built, not switched on yet
With rents and the cost of living where they are, a lot of people now share from uni right through to saving for a deposit. That's a lot of moves, and each one has meant starting again with people you don't know.
Rumy stays with you the whole way. Your profile, your verification and your match settings come with you to the next house, so you're not starting from scratch each time. It's an app you keep after you've found a place.
From your first share house to your last

Here's what Rumy checks today, and what it doesn't.
Verified on Rumy means one thing today: the person has confirmed their phone number. Look for the badge on their profile.
Every photo is reviewed before anyone else sees it. That goes for profile photos and room photos.
When Rumy shows a median rent or a count, it comes from real data. If the sample is too small to be reliable, we show the count on its own or leave it out.
You can report a listing, a photo or a person from inside the app. Reports are read by a person, and the verified badge is never for sale.
What Rumy doesn't do: we don't run police checks or rental history checks, so the badge says nothing about anyone's past. ID verification is on the way. Until it's live, verified means a confirmed phone number and nothing more.
We track share house rents across Melbourne, suburb by suburb: median room rents, availability and timing. It's free to use and updated as new data comes in.
Rumy is on the App Store and Google Play. Matching and messaging happen in the app, and it's free to join. On the web you can browse rooms, list a room and take the housemate quiz.
